Since our inception in 2012, Taiwan Free and Easy Travel (under the brand of Epic Travel Tours), an online boutque travel agency,  has been tailoring Taiwan tours for over thousands of clients.  We have close to 100% positive reviews and has been regularly recommended by Taiwan Tourism Bureau.
Taiwan Free and Easy Travel specialises in customising Taiwan tours for discerning clients who are hungry for experiential tours.  All our Taiwan tours are tailored to your requests and pace.  We do not have one size fits all itinerary: hence, there are no sample itineraries on our website.  We advocate in-depth and experiential travel.
All our Taiwan vacations are private tours and off the mainstream tracks.  Our itineraries are well spread out and clients will have plenty of time to interact and mingle with the locals.  There is absolutely NO commission-based shopping.
Our scope of work includes itinerary planning and arranging land tours.  Trains and high-speed rail experiences can also be included as part of the itinerary.
We may be small in size, but huge in Taiwan travel experiences.

Our Team

Taiwan Free and Easy travel is helmed by Best, our chief itinerary designer.  Best leads the team of travel planners and has more than 20 years of travel planning experience. We regularly visit Taiwan to ensure all our Taiwan partners maintain their service level.  All our travel partners have gone through vigorous rounds of tests to provide the best for our clients.
Off work, Best is an avid traveller and loves traveling to the far and remote destinations on earth.  Travel is her passion, and she is one of the lucky few that calls her passion her career.  Clients are well cared for with their travel plans in her hands.

Our Beginnings

In 2012, two of our founders were planning a two-week vacation to Taiwan.  The mass group tour itineraries were too rushed (imagine travel round the island in 8 days) and many destinations were touch and go.  They also wanted a train cum high-speed rail experience (did we mention that we were huge fans of train?).  They spoke to numerous travel agencies and none of them could tailor the tours the way they wanted it.
In the end, they decided to get their hands dirty and did extensive research about Taiwan.  Coincidentally, during their vacation, they met some of the travel providers offshore who invited them to promote Taiwan tours together.
The rest is history.
In the process of solving their Taiwan vacation’s planning problem, our founders created a niche business, Taiwan Free and Easy Travel that filled the gaps of tailored Taiwan vacations.
Over the years, Taiwan Free and Easy has evolved with time.  From using taxis initially, our current fleet of travel providers boast of luxurious 9-seater minivans with trained licensed driver guides that service our clients round the island.  We have served multigeneration families (with different itineraries within the groups), clients with special needs such as autistic children, polio clients, and even clients that required kidney dialysis.  We are proud to claim to be one of the most experienced Taiwan travel planners around.
In 2015, riding on the success of Taiwan Free and Easy Travel, the company has rebranded to Epic Travel Tours to provide premium travel planning not bound by destinations.  We have kept Taiwan Free and Easy Travel as a separate entity to remind ourselves of our humble beginnings.
